Naheed qualified in Nigeria and has had training in the UK and USA. She completed her specialist training in Obstetrics and Gynaecology in Britain but moved to qualify in family medicine in Illinois, USA. Coming back to the UK for family reasons, she qualified as a GP in 2001.
She has a keen interest and experience in women's health and is a Fellow of the Faculty of Sexual and Reproductive Health with qualifications in all contraceptive procedures. She is also a GP trainer and instructor in family planning.
Naheed developed a particular interest in menopause as a result of her varied experience of treating women all over the world. She has done the British Menopause Society's Special Skills Module. She strongly feels that although there is a huge amount of information on the internet regarding the menopause, there are not enough doctors in both primary and secondary care offering evidence-based advice and therapy. This is why she is keen to provide an individualized approach to women.
In her spare time Naheed enjoys reading, travel and is learning Spanish. She speaks Urdu/Hindi fluently and always looks forward to practicing her Spanish on any volunteers.
