Dr Nicolle Green began her academic life with a degree in Biology and French from the University of St Andrews, before spending two years living in France and Italy, and then returning home to Manchester to begin medical training. She graduated from the University of Manchester in 2006, and completed her GP training under the tutelage of our very own Dr Zoe Hodson in 2011.
Nicolle is a partner in a GP practice in Manchester, where she thoroughly enjoys the variety and fast pace of looking after her patients. However, becoming increasingly aware of the impact of the menopause on women’s lives, she completed specialist menopause training and is delighted to dedicate time to improving the menopause experience for women.
Nicolle is passionate about the impact of lifestyle on all aspects of health, but really recognises how the motivation to make those beneficial changes can be impacted by hormonal changes. Her consultations therefore focus on both lifestyle and medical factors that, when combined, can bring about hugely positive changes for women in the menopause and perimenopause.
In addition to her clinical commitments, Dr Green is responsible for medical student training at her practice, and is an examiner for the University of Manchester medical school.
As well as her dedication to work as a doctor, Nicolle is Mum to two young children who keep her delightfully busy every other minute of the day, apart from before they wake up, which is when she tries to fit in her exercise. She also tries to sneak away every now and again to see concerts of her favourite Italian singers. Nicolle has kept up her language skills over the years, and is available for consultations in French and Italian.
