Ruth graduated from the University of Newcastle Upon Tyne in 2010 and trained as a GP in the North East of England, becoming a member of the Royal College of General Practitioners. While enjoying all aspects of General Practice, her particular interest has always been in Women’s health. She has a Diploma in Obstetrics and Gynaecology, has completed the Special Skills Modules in Menopause with the British Menopause Society, and is working towards her Diploma in Sexual and Reproductive Health. Ruth has an additional interest in education, has completed a Postgraduate Certificate in Medical Education, and teaches medical students at university and in practice.
Ruth is passionate in her own practice about empowering women to have the best experience of their menopause journey, and enjoys providing holistic care and lifestyle advice as well as seeing the wonderful improvements in wellbeing women can have with HRT. She is delighted to have the extra time working with Newson Health to give women the attention, information, and care they deserve to make informed choices that are right for their personal circumstances.
In her spare time Ruth enjoys spending time with her family and friends, good cooking, travelling, and chasing after her toddler.
