This workshop is open to all women and presents the chance to take some time out to reconnect with the mind, body and breath in a nurturing, relaxing and fun environment.
The workshop moves at a gentle pace, tailored to the needs of those present and will include yoga asanas (postures) to open, strengthen and balance the body, as well as meditation and pranayama (breathing practices) to restore and relax, all topped off with some blissful deeply relaxing restorative yoga poses and a yoga nidra (sleep). There will also be the opportunity for questions and discussion.
The workshop is designed to support women’s wellbeing, helping support health, flexibility, strength and hormonal balance, whilst nurturing feminine energies, cultivating calm and relaxing and reenergising the mind and body.
Elsa has been practicing yoga for nearly 20 years and is an experienced teacher, accredited teacher by Yoga Alliance UK and the British Wheel of Yoga as well as a fully qualified Yoga Therapist with a particular interest in women’s health. As a busy working mum of 2, she is highly familiar with the many demands juggled by women on a daily basis.
Elsa has developed her own style of ‘person centred’ teaching, taking inspiration from a range of styles and teachers and always creating a relaxed, fun and nurturing environment. She passionately believes in the value of yoga as part of a holistic approach to promote a real sense of well being, both energising the body and calming the mind and works to support and empower women by providing practical tips or a ‘tool kit’ to help support them in their daily lives.
‘Please wear comfortable clothing, bring socks and a warm layer for relaxation and a bottle of water, and ideally avoid eating a heavy meal for 2 hours before the workshop. Mats and blankets will be provided but please feel free to bring your own if you prefer. No yoga experience is necessary’.
