Published: 11th July 2019
On the 26th September, Newson Health Research and Education will be holding an educational event for GPs, nurses, gynaecologists and pharmacists to improve their knowledge and understanding of the menopause.
This is the first of many educational events organised by Newson Health Research and Education - a not-for-profit organisation whose aim is to improve the quality of menopause education received by healthcare professionals so that women everywhere can get the best possible treatment and care.
The day's course has been accredited by The Royal College of GPs and is open to all healthcare professionals with an interest in the menopause, particularly GPs leading menopause within their practice, practice nurses with an interest in the menopause and pharmacists.
A few of the topics covered will be 'Why is menopause a priority in Primary Care?' and 'Managing The Menopause'. The aim of the day is to give attendees a better knowledge and understanding of the menopause as well as to teach the safe prescribing of HRT.
Registration closes on 31st July 2019.
