Professor Geoffrey Hackett to provide Men's Health Checks at Newson Health
Published: 30th April 2019
Newson Health Menopause & Wellbeing Centre recently announced that renowned Professor of Sexual Medicine, Dr Geoffrey Hackett will be running a regular men's health clinic at Winton House.
The move to providing men's health checks came in response to women patients who, having seen the benefits gained by taking control of their own health during the menopause, quite naturally wanted to help male partners, relatives or friends who were experiencing the miseries of unbalanced hormones or erectile problems.
Professor Hackett specialises in all aspects of sexual dysfunction and testosterone deficiency and is an expert in his field. He has been a consultant in Urology and Sexual Medicine at University Hospitals Birmingham Foundation trust since 1994, Professor of Sexual Medicine at Aston University Birmingham since 2017, and in private practice at Spire Hospital, Little Aston, Sutton Coldfield, and now here at Newson Health.
Newson Health Menopause and Wellbeing Centre was founded by leading menopause specialist and GP, Dr Louise Newson, and officially opened in September 2018 by Liz Earle MBE. Created to help women receive the most appropriate, individualised treatment for their perimenopause and menopause, it has quickly become a centre of excellence, providing care to women of all ages, as well as running educational events for primary care clinicians.
Dr Newson is also the founder of the Menopause Doctor website, a free resource since 2017, providing the latest unbiased, evidence based information about the menopause and perimenopause for women as well as the most recent national and international menopause articles and guidelines for healthcare professionals.
