Dr Elizabeth Ormerod

Elizabeth qualified in medicine from Cardiff University, and now works as a GP in a rural practice in South Wales. She has had a varied career including some years working abroad in New Zealand, and some years working in obstetrics and gynaecology before turning to specialise in General Practice. She completed her GP training in Bristol and has always had an interest in women’s health which has become more and more part of her everyday work in general practice. She has furthered her interest in the menopause and gained her advanced certificate in menopause care qualification recently.

Elizabeth enjoys working as part of a team and strives to give patients the best possible care and advice. She loves getting to know patients and helping them through their journey to better health. She is passionate about the benefits of HRT, and the value of good quality menopause care for women.

Elizabeth also enjoys practical procedures and is a qualified coil and implant fitter. She works mainly as a GP and is also using her specialist menopause experience working part-time for Newson Health.

Outside of work, Elizabeth has young children (twin boys), an energetic dog and a husband who all keep her on her toes! She likes to be trail running in the beautiful countryside, playing on the beach with the family, or on the tennis court at her local club when time allows.
