Dr Emily Tyrrell

Emily graduated from Barts and The London School of Medicine in 2009 and completed her GP training in Southampton in 2015. Emily has worked as a salaried GP ever since but over the last year or so has developed a portfolio career and now does a variety of roles in addition. She developed an interest in Women’s Health having undertaken an Obstetrics and Gynaecology job as part of her GP training and then completed her Diploma in Sexual and Reproductive Health and implant training as a GP trainee, back in 2014. Last year she completed her training to allow her to fit coils, which she does for both contraception and HRT.

Over the last few years her passion for women’s health, specifically menopause has exponentially grown. She strives to provide exemplary care for women and raise awareness of the perimenopause and menopause and its impact, particularly for working women. Emily loves being able to provide women with the right information to enable them to make informed decisions about their menopause care.

When not working Emily enjoys spending time with her husband and two children on the South coast of Hampshire. She is a keen runner and lover of exploring the outdoors.
