Dr Hilary Khankashi

GP and Menopause Specialist

Hilary graduated from Charing Cross and Westminster Medical School in 1994, having also completed a BSc in Psychology. Soon after qualifying, she realized that she wanted a career in general practice. She did her GP training in Dorset and has enjoyed living and working in Dorset and Hampshire ever since.

Women’s health issues have always been an important and interesting part of her general practice. Recently she has found working with women, to find the best individual approach to their perimenopausal and menopausal needs, to be some of the most rewarding consultations of all.

Aside from core general practice work, Hilary has been an examiner for the Royal College of GPs since 2009. As such, she is involved in assessment and teaching of the GPs of tomorrow to ensure they have competencies in clinical skills across the board.

Outside of work she enjoys catching up with her adult son, exploring the Dorset coastline and New Forest with her dog, volunteering at the local community fridge, reading and attending live music and theatre.
