Dr Jennifer Horrocks

Jen graduated from Newcastle University in 2009 and did her early training in Northumberland. Due to an interest in medical education, she then spent a year teaching medical students at Durham and Darlington NHS Trust before moving back home to Lancaster to embark on her GP training. Jen ended up working in her training practice in Morecambe and it was there that Jen became passionate about treating women, especially those struggling with the perimenopause and menopause.

Jen has worked to improve Menopause care in Morecambe Bay by setting up a pharmacist led HRT review clinic and has led education sessions to update clinicians on the latest guidance and safest forms now available.

When she’s not talking about the menopause, Jen can be found at home with her two young daughters and husband, tending to her garden and vegetable plot, running along the beach or exploring the nearby countryside of Arnside and Silverdale AONB and the Lake District.
