Dr Jo Bonser

Jo graduated from St Mary’s Hospital Medical School (part of Imperial College London) in 1999 with Honours in Obstetrics and Gynaecology and Surgery.  There she enjoyed all aspects of medicine and holistic care and went on to General Practice, gaining a distinction for the Membership of the Royal College of GPs (MRCGP).

Jo has worked as a GP in and around Winchester for 20 years, and in the last 6 years has also worked as GP appraiser and teaches and examines medical students studying at The University of Southampton.  She has always had an interest in women’s health and gained Postgraduate Diplomas in Obstetrics and Gynaecology (DRCOG) and Family Planning (DFFP).

Public awareness of holistic care of perimenopausal women is growing and Jo is excited to help the Newson Health team educate and empower these women to make informed choices about their individual health and wellbeing.

Jo is a busy working mum of three teenage sons.  Washing rugby kit is also one of her core skills.  She relaxes by walking the dog, exercising, and eating with friends.
