GP and Menopause Specialist

Sam qualified from the Hull York Medical School in 2008 with Honours.  She undertook GP training in Oxford, spending time as a doctor working in various areas of medicine including Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Sexual Health and Psychiatry.  She achieved the Diploma of Obstetrics and Gynaecology in 2011.

She has worked as a GP in Oxford and the Cotswolds, and during this time developed a keen interest in managing the perimenopause and menopause, finding this to be a commonly misunderstood area.  Her mother underwent a premature menopause in her late 30’s and was not able to access HRT for many years.  The impact of this has given Sam an insight into the detrimental effect menopause can have on the person and their wider family if poorly managed.  She is passionate about providing high quality menopause care and giving women the information required to make informed decisions about their own healthcare.

Sam is married to a GP and is mum to two lively boys.  She enjoys family time, reading, Zumba and skiing.
