Dr Selina Sawhney

Selina graduated from the University of Newcastle upon Tyne in 2005 and completed her training as a GP in 2011. She has recently moved from the New Forest, Hampshire back to Sheffield, Yorkshire to be closer to family.

Selina is a GP Partner and Trainer with a specialist interest in Women’s Health and GP Training. She has completed in Diploma in Obstetrics and Gynaecology and is working towards her Diploma of Reproductive and Sexual Health. Selina is a GP Trainer and completed a Postgraduate Diploma in Medical Education and teaches both medical students and trainee GPs.

Selina enjoys all aspects of General Practice, especially the variety and continuity it brings but is particularly passionate about striving towards achieving a better level of healthcare for women and improving knowledge amongst other healthcare professionals. She is particularly interested in increasing awareness in areas of social deprivation and also in ethnic communities.

Selina is married with two young children (who keep them very busy). She loves cooking, eating out, going to the gym, pottering in the garden and relaxing with family and friends.

Selina is really excited about working at Newson Health and using her expertise to listen to women, help them make the right decisions, feel better and improve their menopause experience.
