Dr Sonia Dhillon
GP and Menopause Specialist
Sonia graduated from University of Birmingham Medical School in 1994 and worked in the Midlands for a number of years before moving to East London 23 years ago. Sonia has worked as a GP for 22 years and a partner in her current practice for 20 years. Sonia has always had an interest in women’s health and obtained the Diploma of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists’, the Diploma of the Faculty of Family Planning, has fitted contraceptive implants and a takes a lead role in providing postnatal care in her NHS practice.
In recent years, Sonia has completed the evidence-based Newson Health Menopause training which has led her to a more proactive management of the perimenopause and menopause within her own practice, where she is now the lead GP in this area of women’s health.
The ability to guide women through the challenging aspects of hormonal change and offering an individualised approach to her consultations is something Sonia is passionate about and finds extremely rewarding.
