Pharmacist and Menopause Specialist
Liz obtained an honours degree in pharmacy at Manchester University in 1989. She is a really experienced pharmacist, having spent a large proportion of her career working in community pharmacy. Five years ago, she made the leap into General Practice where she obtained her Independent Prescribing Qualification.
During this time, she has developed a keen interest in menopause management, having been frustrated with the lack of support and understanding for women struggling with often debilitating symptoms. She has since completed the Confidence in Menopause training offered by Newson Health and regularly conducts menopause reviews, helping empower women to make their own choices with regard to their menopause management. She is passionate about high quality care and is able to discuss all types of menopause treatment, whether it be hormone replacement therapy or more holistic alternatives. She currently works remotely in conjunction with the team at Newson Health.
Liz has two grown up children who have since flown the nest and lives in Sheffield with her husband and a very laid back black Labrador. She enjoys walking in The Peak District, cycling, reading and art.
