When you have an appointment at Newson Clinic, your clinician will work with you to create an individualised care plan. This may include a prescription, such as HRT, with the type and dose tailored to your needs. Find out how we manage your prescriptions below.
At a new appointment, if it is agreed that HRT should be started, your clinician will issue enough HRT to last until your first follow up which is typically arranged for 3-4 month’s time. If bloods are needed, these will also be arranged at the appointment. We recommend bloods are generally done a week or so before follow up appointments, if possible, so that the results can be discussed in the context of your symptoms during the appointment.
One of our pharmacies will send you a payment link via text or email and, once the payment has cleared, you will receive the HRT delivered direct to your home.
If you feel well on your HRT at your follow-up appointment, your clinician will offer a repeat prescription until your next follow-up appointment is due. This enables you to order medication directly from one of our pharmacies as and when you need it.
We will let you know which pharmacy your repeat prescription has been sent to, and they will contact you by email and text.
Below are the pharmacies we use to dispense your HRT:
Email: pharmacy@cloudrx.co.uk
Email: info@smartwaypharmacy.co.uk
Call: 0208 545 7731
When your repeat prescription runs out the pharmacy will let you know that it's time to book your review at Newson Clinic. You will need to have an annual review as a minimum at Newson Clinic.
We prescribe a maximum of 12 months’ worth of HRT as a repeat prescription and between 3-4 months' worth of HRT on a single prescription.
If your dose changes or there's a risk that you may run out of HRT before your follow-up appointment, please contact our team on 01789 595 004 or email info@newsonhealth.co.uk. We will respond to emails within 72 hours, therefore if your request is urgent, please call us.
If you are due to have a review and blood test, this can be booked at the same time.
We can only prescribe enough HRT to last until your next review appointment. If you 're overdue a review, we will do our best to make sure treatment is not interrupted by issuing a maximum one month of HRT or the smallest pack size depending on the date of your last review.
We are unable to issue prescriptions unless you have an annual review as a minimum.
We realise your data is important to you and promise to process it in accordance with our privacy policy.
