When you have your first appointment at Newson Clinic, your Clinician will work with you to create an individualised care plan. This may include a prescription, such as HRT, with the type and dose tailored to your needs. Find out how we manage your prescriptions below.
At a new appointment, if it is agreed that HRT should be started, your Clinician will issue enough HRT to last until your first follow up which is typically arranged for 3-4 month’s time. If bloods are needed these will also be arranged at the appointment. We recommend bloods are generally done a week or so before follow up appointments if possible so that the results can be discussed in the context of your symptoms during the appointment.
One of our pharmacies will send you a payment link via text or e-mail and, once the payment has cleared, you will receive the HRT, delivered direct to your home.
Your Clinician will issue a repeat prescription at your follow up/annual review appointment, which enables you to order medication directly from one of our pharmacies as and when you need it until your next review is due.
If you have had an appointment with your Clinician in the last 6 months please check that a repeat dispensing prescription is not already at the pharmacy. If you have been set up on a repeat schedule by Newson Clinic, you can now order your prescription at the time that most suits you. You can request this from a member of the pharmacy team, and we can send the online link for you to manage this. This link should also be attached to your most recent ‘Dispatch Confirmation’ email.
If you have had a review within the last 12 months and your Clinician issued a repeat dispensing prescription, please contact the relevant pharmacy.
You will find which pharmacy (CloudRx or Smartway) to contact in communications from us:
Email: pharmacy@cloudrx.co.uk
Email: info@smartwaypharmacy.co.uk
Call: 0208 545 7731
In exceptional circumstances where you need to order a prescription in between appointments, please contact our team on 01789 595 004 or email them at info@newsonhealth.co.uk. We will respond to emails within 72 hours, therefore if your request is urgent, please call us.
If you are due to have a review and blood test, this can be booked at the same time.
We can only prescribe enough HRT to last until your next review appointment. If you are overdue a review, we will do our best to make sure treatment is not interrupted by issuing a maximum one month of HRT or the smallest pack size depending on the date of your last review.
We are unable to issue repeat prescriptions unless you have an annual review as a minimum.
We realise your data is important to you and promise to process it in accordance with our privacy policy. If you have not had an appointment with your Clinician in the last 12 months, your request may be rejected, and our team will contact you to offer an annual review appointment.
