Ultrasound scan to investigate vaginal bleeding

Our sonographer offers a high quality clinical and diagnostic service to women with concerns about their gynaecological health. Ultrasound examination provides useful information about the possible causes of unexplained vaginal bleeding, including measuring the thickness of the womb lining, and identifying any polyps or fibroids that may be present.

In the majority of cases, reassurance is given that your scan is normal and your Newson Clinic clinician will review the findings with you and adjust your treatment regime if needed. On occasion, the scan results may lead to a referral to gynaecology for further investigation and management.

We are unable to offer a an ultrasounds appointment to anyone who is not a registered Newson Clinic patient. To speak to our team about an ultrasound appointment, please call 01789 595004 or use the form below and select ‘Ultrasound scan’ from the ‘your clinician’ dropdown.
