This scan is considered the gold standard for body composition analysis and offers more precise data than scales or other methods.

A DEXA scan is used to assess bone health by using a very low dose of radiation, so the associated radiation risks are very low. However, it cannot provide detailed anatomical images as this would require a much higher dose

We are unable to offer a DEXA bone density scan or body composition scan to anyone who is not a registered Newson Clinic patient.
