Blood tests cannot diagnose a condition on their own. Your clinician will consider the results alongside your symptoms, medical history, medication and current treatment.
Continue taking your usual medication unless advised otherwise.
Tell the team about any medication, supplements, thyroid medication or hormone treatment you use. You will be advised if fasting or other preparation is required.

When will I receive my results?
You will usually receive your results by email, with any relevant clinical comments and recommended next steps, within 14 days.

New patients
If you are not currently registered with Newson Clinic, you will need to book an initial appointment first. Your clinician can advise whether thyroid antibody testing or another blood test would be clinically useful.
