Louise is a physician, women’s hormone specialist and member of the UK Government’s Menopause Taskforce. She is also an award-winning doctor, educator and author, widely recognised for her work in raising awareness and improving knowledge about the perimenopause and menopause. Often described as “the medic who kickstarted the menopause revolution,” Louise has empowered a generation of women to better understand their hormones and take control of their treatment, health and wellbeing.

Outside of her clinical work, Louise enjoys a wide range of activities including Ashtanga yoga, hiking, swimming, cycling, theatre, reading, classical music concerts and travelling abroad.

External work:

In addition to her clinical and advocacy work, Louise is highly experienced in media and public engagement. She has featured in interviews for BBC and ITV News and contributed to ITV’s Tonight and ITN Channel 5 programmes on the menopause. She has appeared on This Morning, Lorraine, and Loose Women, and has spoken on Woman’s Hour (BBC Radio 4), BBC Radio London, BBC 5 Live and several regional BBC stations. She took part in the Channel 4 documentary Sex, Myths and the Menopause, contributed to The Good Menopause Guide by Liz Earle MBE, and was a regular GP and medical advisor for Embarrassing Bodies: Live from the Clinic.
