Amy completed her training as a General Practitioner in 2017 and became interested in how hormones affect physical and mental health through both general practice and personal experience during pregnancy and postnatally. She developed an interest in evidence-based lifestyle and diet optimisation and how this can support wellbeing. This naturally progressed to an interest in the perimenopause and menopause, and a keen desire to empower women to understand their function and symptoms in the context of hormonal health. She loves working at Newson Clinic because it offers the opportunity to spend more time working with patients than can be made available in NHS. She also still works in South Manchester in NHS General Practice.
Outside of work, Amy is kept busy by her two young children and cockapoo. She enjoys hill walking, swimming and running. She spends as much time outdoors with her family as possible camping and exploring.
