Clair trained in Obstetrics and Gynaecology before becoming a GP, with a longstanding passion for women’s health. Her personal experience of how hormones can affect mental health sparked her commitment to supporting women through perimenopause and menopause. She finds menopause care especially rewarding, helping women navigate challenging times and make informed choices about their health.

Outside of work, Clair enjoys reading, painting and jigsaw puzzles. She is a keen cyclist, spending many hours on her Peloton bike, and enjoys walking – having recently climbed Snowdon and attempted a 100km charity walk from London to Brighton. She shares her home with her much-pampered cat, Winston.

External work:

Clair collaborates with NHS mental healthcare teams and co-authored Severe Mental Illness in the Perimenopause. She has also contributed to an e-learning module for the Royal College of Psychiatrists on managing mental health during menopause. As part of an outreach project, she has worked in schools and visited communities in The Gambia to provide sexual and hormonal health education for women and teenage girls. She will be returning in 2025 to continue this work.
