Holly has been inspired by the stories of other women to dedicate her career to improving female hormone health.

She attended the school where Emmeline Pankhurst educated her daughters and shares in the belief that women can be empowered through support, education and opportunity.

Holly views menopause as more than just a phase of declining hormones and challenging symptoms; she recognises it as a period of significant metabolic transition and increased chronic disease risk. Her broad perspective as a generalist enables her to understand the impact of hormone health on multiple body systems, while her background in Pathology allows her to break down complex problems into their scientific foundations before building personalised treatment solutions for her patients. She is committed to initiating conversations about menopause, bridging the knowledge gap among both women and healthcare professionals. By raising awareness and empowering others, she envisions a future in which girls grow up in a society where hormone health is understood and women’s health is prioritised.

Outside of work, Holly enjoys Pilates, meditation, and cooking and baking.

External work:

Holly has applied to volunteer as a menopause specialist for the Royal Society of Osteoporosis local network and is involved in teaching and supervising third-year medical students at The University of Manchester’s APEP project, focusing on menopause-related research. She has delivered multiple local presentations in the North West, including at the University of Chester’s Festival of Ideas. She also hopes to join the teaching faculty for the Postgraduate Certificate in Menopause Medicine.
