Katherine has always had a strong interest in women’s health, which began early in her GP career when she trained to fit coils and implants for contraception. This foundation developed into a deeper passion for supporting women through all stages of their hormonal journey, including PMS, PMDD, perimenopause and menopause. As public awareness of menopause has grown in recent years, so too has her commitment to this area of care. Katherine finds it incredibly rewarding to witness the positive impact that good menopause support can have on a woman’s quality of life and long-term health. She particularly values the ability to offer individualised care – taking the time to listen, understand and tailor treatment to each woman’s unique needs. This personalised approach lies at the heart of her practice.
Away from work, Katherine’s greatest love is cooking – she can spend hours in the kitchen experimenting with new recipes. She also enjoys gardening and exploring the Devon countryside on long walks with her husband. More recently, she has embraced cold water swimming in Dartmoor rivers and the sea, whatever the season. Her two teenage sons are now on the path to independence as they begin their university journeys.
