Newson Health now offer face-to-face consultations in Bournemouth.

Appointments are available with Newson Health doctors within the setting of The Clinic @78, a private GP clinic based in Westbourne, Bournemouth.

We are delighted to have three Newson Health doctors who will be offering the in-person appointments. Additional services of blood tests and ultrasound scans are also available within The Clinic @78.

Meet the Newson Health clinicians working in The Clinic @78

Dr Emily Monks DFSRH MRCGP DRCOG MRCPI DME BMEDSCI MB BCH BAO

Emily graduated from University College Dublin in 2004 and completed postgraduate training in both Ireland and the UK. During her GP training she developed an interest in Mental Health and Women’s Health, completing the Diploma in Sexual and Reproductive Health and the Diploma in Obstetrics and Gynaecology.

Emily has worked in local NHS practices for over 10 years and has seen the impact of menopause on her patients and the difference a personalised consultation and treatment plan can make to quality of life.

Dr Jenny Field MBBS BSC MRCP MRCGP DTM&H DFSRH

Jenny graduated from Imperial College London in 2005. She initially started her career in hospital medicine and gained her Membership of the Royal College of Physicians. She then moved into general practice, where she felt better placed to provide continuity and individualised care to her patients.

Her experience in treating women living with the menopause over the years has made her increasingly aware of the impact it can have on health, personal relationships, and work. She recognises that every patient’s experience is different, which is why she values the importance of listening and working together with the patient to develop an individualised care plan.

Dr Raquel Bechka MBCHB MRCGP

Raquel completed her foundation training at The University of Manchester, graduating in 2005. After three years spent in Christchurch, New Zealand, working in a hospital and a 24-hour GP centre, Raquel returned to the UK in 2010 to complete her GP training.

Through her work in General Practice, she developed an interest in women’s health. Raquel is passionate about improving care for women experiencing the perimenopause and menopause by supporting and advocating for them on their menopause journey.

By train

The nearest train station is Branksome station. However, Bournemouth station is often more convenient as trains are more frequent. This is around a 10-minute taxi ride away.

Parking

There is free car parking on Poole Road outside the clinic, but it is limited to 1 hour. The nearest paid car parks are Milburn Road Car Park (directly behind the clinic), and Landseer Road Car Park, which is approximately 3 minutes’ walk away. Marks & Spencer also have a car park (approximately 5 minutes’ walk) and will refund the £1 charge for an hour, if you spend £5 in store. Alumhurst Road Car Park (approximately 8 minutes’ walk) is also nearby.
