GP and Menopause Specialist

Catherine graduated from Charing Cross and Westminster Medical School in 1996. She worked in west London for a number of years before moving to Gloucestershire 18 years ago. Catherine has been a GP for over 20 years and enjoy the variety that this job brings. No two people are ever the same and that’s what makes life and people interesting!

Catherine has a special interest in medical education and is a GP trainer, which means that she trains new GP’s. She enjoys this nurturing and educational role of her job. Along with this she has an interest in women’s health, which has increased in recent years having seen friends and colleagues (as well as myself!) developing menopausal symptoms and the broad spectrum of symptoms that it can bring. She feels that it is key to educate women and to empower them to make informed individualised choices that feel right for them.

When Catherine is not working, she is enjoys walking with her lovely cockapoo dog (Milo) and baking, and has enthused her daughter with the same passion too. Catherine’s family are foodies and cooking is a great pleasure for her, just as well as her family enjoy eating it all! When time allows she loves catching up with friends over a glass of wine.
