Emma graduated from Imperial College London in 1999, having completed her undergraduate training and a physiology degree at Oxford University. She completed her GP hospital training at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital London, gaining her MRCGP in 2003.

Emma has always had a keen interest in women’s health, and over the years has obtained the Diploma of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists, the Diploma of the Faculty of Family Planning and Reproductive Health Care and has trained to fit contraceptive coils and implants. She has completed training with the British Menopause Society, of which she is a member, as well as the Newson Health Menopause Society.

Emma was a GP partner in Bristol for 4 years at the start of her career in General Practice. She relocated to the New Forest in 2008, where she still lives with her husband and 3 sons. She has worked since then as a GP in Salisbury, in various roles, and now currently as a locum GP.

She has an interest in breast care and works as a specialist doctor within the breast unit at her local hospital one day a week. Emma also has an interest in mental health, and prior to joining the menopause clinic worked as an outreach GP within mental health, for a group of practices in Salisbury.

In her spare time, she enjoys cycling and running in the forest, especially with family or friends, as well as pottering in her garden.

You can see Emma at our Southampton clinic for an in person appointment.
