Dr Emma Ginns

GP and Menopause Specialist

Emma graduated from Imperial College London in 1999, having completed her undergraduate training at Oxford University. She trained to be a GP in London,  gaining her MRCGP in 2003.  Emma has always had a keen interest in women’s health, and has obtained the Diploma of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists, the Diploma of the Faculty of Family Planning and Reproductive Health Care, and has trained to fit contraceptive coils and implants.

Emma was a GP partner in Bristol for 4 years at the start of her career in General Practice. She relocated to the New Forest in 2008, where she still lives with her husband and 3 sons. She has worked in Salisbury for the past 11 years, as a salaried GP for 9 years and currently as a locum GP.

Over the last few years she has done additional work in mental health, which has also always been an area of interest for her, working as an outreach GP for a group of practices in Salisbury. Over the past 18 months she has also trained at the local Breast Unit, where she now also works as a doctor in the breast clinic.

In her spare time, she enjoys cycling and running in the forest, especially with family or friends, as well as pottering in her garden and a bit of yoga!
