Dr Mari Walling

Mari graduated from the University of Southampton Medical School in 2002. After initially pursing a career in hospital medicine, obtaining MRCP in 2006, she found a passion for general practice, gaining MRCGP in 2009.

Mari for many years worked in General Practice, having gained a Diploma in Family Planning and Reproductive Health in 2008, which naturally led a long career in helping women by providing both contraceptive and menopausal support. Mari has now been part of the clinical team at Newson Health since 2020, and have thoroughly enjoyed meeting the hugely diverse range of patients. Mari holds the BMS Advanced Certificate in the Principles and Practice of Menopause Care.

There is no ‘one size fits all’ approach, Mari believes wholeheartedly in offering evidence-based, up to date and holistic care based on your needs as an individual. Mari is passionate about trying to improve women’s health in general, by being enthusiastic and empowering them to make positive lifestyle choices. Having had a close family member, undergo a premature menopause, she has seen on a personal level the impact and long-term consequences of female hormonal management. Having listened to women’s experiences, she has realised that this isn’t an area always managed as well as it could be. She is excited to try and play a bigger role in trying to improve this.

Mari lives in the New Forest, with her husband, three teenage children and collection of animals. She is obsessed with trying to get better at skiing and concentrating during yoga sessions..
