Nurse with an interest in menopause

Julia is a registered nurse and completed her training at the Royal London Hospital in 1992. Julia enjoyed many specialties in hospital settings before becoming a practice nurse in 2001. She still works in General Practice and has a special interest in diabetes and family planning and sexual health, along with a passion in helping women with menopause symptoms and the great number of challenges that this can bring. She was inspired in menopause care while working alongside Dr Clair Crockett, an esteemed colleague in General Practice and now at Newson Health.

Julia is an independent prescriber and has found that having more autonomy opened her eyes to the need for more specialized knowledge in the area of peri menopause and menopause. She is determined to help women to access clear evidence-based information to enhance their confidence, health, and knowledge around the menopause.

Julia is married with 3 grown up children. She enjoys family time and coastal walks as well as all types of sport including wild swimming, cycling and yoga.
